These wedges from Wilson’s Leather fall nicely into the “pleasant shopping surprise” category. What’s Wilson’s leather, you ask? Exactly. The leather upper and wood-grain bottom kicks are perfect for fall — wear them with trousers or a wool skirt. I love (shopping) surprises.

It’s that time again. Target, the ruler of bringing fashion to the underpaid masses, has unleashed their newest “Go International” designer. You can normally find her polished, yet contemporary pieces prancing down the runway of New York fashion week, but for the next few months, Behnaz Sarafpour is sharing her creations with me. […]

This goldtone bracelet is so (sorry!) charming. There’s a teeny taxi, pretzel, apple, subway token, and more. Even if you’ve never been to NYC, it’s a colorful addition to your ensem. Plus it’s 100% brass, so it should stand up to my less-than-delicate treatment. (I’m not so graceful.)

This 100% silk tank will look great under a cardigan or blazer, or alone. The black grosgrain ribbon is so “Holly Golightly,” which is precisely why I think it’s so darn special.

Thanks to the sharp eye of Chloe at English Tea, I’ve been introduced the sweet online boutique Rita Wilcox. There are lots of great goodies, but I quickly honed in on this pair of simple sterling silver earrings. They go from pretty to preppy (read: fabulous) with the monogram, and there are six […]

As much as bright bees or colorful stripes on a passing pair of wellies cheer me up on a rainy day, sometimes a solid fits the bill. Pull on these matte-red rubber boots over opaque cream-colored tights and a cute skirt and save the bees for your umbrella. While the suckers in stilettos […]

The best part of these handmade makeup bags is that while they’re inspired by the past (using vintage-looking fabrics,) they’re kept current (with modern shapes — love the scalloped edges.) There’s also a completely customizable line. But for the creatively challenged (which I know doesn’t apply to you guys) there are plenty […]

The lightly sandwashed silk charmeuse tank is perfect under a cardigan for day or alone at night. And the simplicity allows for maximum accessorizing. For the price, grab this staple in a few colors. On those mornings you can bareley peel open your eyes, let alone choose a fabulous ensemble, you’ll be […]

These delicate sea urchin-shaped glass vessels are a way more interesting take on your usual bud vases. Throw in a few flowers to instantly class up your joint.

Maybe you’ve been wanting to try the slouchy-boot-look for a little while, but feared you might not be able to pull it off. You’re so — what’s the word? — preppy. (We’re speaking hypothetically here, people.) Well this is your lucky day. These La Redoute suede boots are easy enough […]
