Chesapeake Rose: Headband Sans Headache
Some (everyone) might consider me preppy. So it stands to reason that I enjoy wearing a nice madras (or toile or polka dot or bumble-bee print or . . .) headband now and again. And I do so knowing full well that by about noon-thirty I’ll have the headache of my life. But it’s a cute look so—while it pinches the crap out of my temples—I suck it up. Then I got a little package from the lovely ladies of Chesapeake Rose, makers of handcrafted headbands (and other cute hair goodies) and I stopped the madness. The headbands are adorable (there’s an entire “preppy” category on the site!) and get this: They don’t hurt. No joke. In fact, I forgot that I was wearing it, until I passed by the mirror and saw how fabulous it was. And this week they’re on sale, $10 down from $14. Below are a few picks. . .

Just got myself a toile headband (in dusty rose). Thanks, Lily!

What do you wear these with?? I’m afraid of patterned headbands - but am SICK of my plain ones! These are SO cute! Suggestions?

I was just thinking about that this morning, I’ll wear mine with a solid print dress, or khakis and a button down, or basically anything that doesn’t already have a busy print. Sometimes I wear a preppy print with another one, as long as it’s not matchy. Anyone else?
