Uniqlo Wool Dress Coat $129.50
New York City has recently become home to the newest branches of Japanese clothing purveyor Uniqlo, and I for one am welcoming them to the neighborhood with open arms. The company’s mission is to “continuously provide fashionable, high quality, basic casual wear at the lowest prices in the market” and by the looks of their offerings, I’d say they succeed. There are tons of solid basics, like the lambswool cardigan below, as well as pieces with great design and nice touches, like this dress overcoat. Their website is a bit overwhelming (read: a hot mess) but I wouldn’t let that keep you from becoming closely acquainted.
I’d never heard of this shop until they opened their branch in NY. I can’t say I was very excited given some of the pictures I saw, but I do love this coat. How simple but different.
