Even though most of the sushi I buy is from the corner deli (yes, it’s still tasty and I’ve never gotten sick!), I still crave this porcelain dish and plate set from merae.com. The delicate Ume flowers make any dish look exquisite, whether I’m eating raw eel or Rice-A-Roni. The Body Shop Mango Scrub $3
This scrub smells so good you will literally want to eat it. And with The Body Shop’s natural ingredients, you probably could. I recommend sticking to its original purpose, however, which is to gently spiff up your skin. And at 3 bucks a pop, I also recommend stocking up.

SPLURGE of the week: Blinc Kiss Me Mascara $24
Is it weird to get passionately preachy about a beauty product? Like, say, when you’re chatting about mascaras (or the subject happens to come up because you bring it up. Either one.) I just cannot say enough about this mascara. Every variety claims to make your lashes look long and lovely, with no clumping, of course. This is the only one I’ve tried that stands out as acually making good on its claim. It coats lashes in tiny tubes (which sounds way freakier than it is) and the result is long, lovely lashes with no clumping! Really. You don’t even need makeup remover to take it off, just a little warm water. If you try it you might find yourself bringing up mascara at random and inopportune moments, just a warning.
