This green barcode bag is so different than the normal accessories pouches I carry around, and I think that’s why I like it so much. Use it as a cash and keys holder or cellphone pouch for a night out or throw it in your purse and stash your cosmetics in it. Best of all, the bags are handmade by weaving surplus candywrappers over recycled school books.
I’ve loved the Hard Candy brand for years, even when it was way out of my price range (the company revised its marketing plan a few years back to make it more affordable). The new, limited-edition Take Out Makeup Kit is a mini cosmetics collection presented in a Chinese take out box. For $25 you get a mirror, six shades of lip gloss, two lip brushes, eight shades of eyeshadow, mascara, black eye pencil, two shadow applicators, a bronzer, blush and two shades of concealer. And I simply crave it like MSG.
I have a reputation around my office — my co-workers tease me for frequently accessorizing with pearls. But I’m proud to sport them. (As reputations go, it could be worse.) They make me feel like Audrey even when I’m dressed like Mary-Kate. This elegant, handmade barrette will be a fabulous addition to my collection. It’s delicate and decadent, and will be sure to induce whispers around the watercooler.
This is hand’s-down the best tooth whitener I’ve ever used (and I’ve tested out a ton). The soft-tip pen provides easy, no-mess application that dries in a flash. Just apply the gel right before you turn in for bed. The package claims “noticeable whitening in just 14 days,” but I’ve seen results in 4.
When they say that they offer designer looks at a fraction of the price, they’re not messing around. I love this pretty cotton voile top. And so, apparently, does everyone else. It’s on backorder for 3-4 weeks, so order now to get it in time for Spring.
Should I consider it a warning sign that I was immedietely drawn to this bathroom accessory? The Target.com customer reviews don’t give it such winning feedback (someone mentioned that their toothbrush doesn’t fit?) but I’ll buy a smaller toothbrush for such a fun addition to my boring bathroom.
I love the ocean colors and delicate bird pattern that decorates this flirty, floaty skirt. Countdown ’til Spring is on. Bring it.

OK, I know what you’re thinking: enough already with the whale motif. And I hear you. Sort of. But I saw these and thought that they might be a nice, easy choice for whale-beginners. (There are teeny raised whales all over them for added traction. . .and added fabulousness.)

When I crave culture, I head over to the Museum of Modern Art. When I need unique gifts and deals on designer duds, I go directly to the museum’s home on the Web at momastore.org. The site carries pure art (and not just on paper, you can also find apparel, watches and jewelry) and you can’t beat the prices when the items go on sale. This photo album from Jhane Barnes features 80 scrapbook-style pages and a cover that will take center stage on your coffee table. And for $9.99, it doesn’t matter if you aren’t a professional photog.
